Mothers Day!
How many mums truly get to relax on this day?
I don't know about you but my mothers day morning normally goes something like this:
Way to early in the morning ( sometimes still dark outside) my kiddies come bounding in jumping all over me like it was Xmas morning.
I am made to sit up and wake up!
Followed by toast with butter and so Vegemite so thick that some years i haven't even been sure if there was toast on the plate at all.
All eyes are on me, they sit and watch to make sure i eat the whole lot and I'm not allowed to share as its all mine!
Tummy ache that normal follows is all mine to!
I'm not a breakie person, and normally pass on butter.
Then theres the unwrapping of gifts that the kiddies buy at the mothers day stall at school.
The hand made gifts made in art class or at home.
\This is when i normally find my craft items that went missing pasted to cardboard and egg cartons.
And the best part of all is all the kisses and cuddles i get as my kids fight over who loves me more.
By 10am Mothers day is forgotten I'm in the laundry or at the sink with the lovely screams of the kids fighting in my ears.
I wouldn't change anything as my mothers day would not be the same, without the tummy ache, headache from lake of sleep, the screams of the kiddies and the thousand's of kisses that remind me once again how lucky i am to have four beautiful kids that love me as much as i love them!
Its such a special day! I love showing my mum how much she means to me.
This year i made my mums present.
I worked around that her new babies now me and my brother are all grown up ( kinda) are her chooks, ducks and a lovable turkey called Trevor!
Am happy to share the pattern i threw together for the chooks and eggs if anyone would like to make something similar xx
To all the beautiful and adorable mums out there
Happy Mothers Day for this Sunday
i hope you all treated extra special
xxx
